1st Trustee and 2nd Trustee
Our wedding guests intrusted to you their packaged, wrapped and carded wedding gifts.
Each guest specifically intended for us to:
- receive their gift, and
- read their card, and
- unwrap their gift, and
- open and unpackage their gift.
In good faith our guests trust you to simply transfer their gifts to us.
That transfer has not occurred. The trusts remain open. You remain duty bound to fulfill your obligation to meet the intent of each guest.
Complete the transaction; hand over the packaged, wrapped and carded gifts to us.
To date you have chosen not to transfer the gifts to us, thus you are required to return the packaged, wrapped and carded gifts to each guest, the rightful owners.
Else, you shall restore sevenfold to each guest.
As custodians you have no discretion to manage the gifts beyond conveying the packaged, wrapped and carded gifts to us; or returning them to each guest.
Do that which is lawful and right for each guest, as declared in Ezekiel 33:14-16 and explained in Leviticus 6:2-5 and Proverbs 6:30-31.
Do you really believe that?
intrust
- To deliver (something) to another in trust;
- to commit or surrender (something) to another with a certain confidence regarding his care, use, or disposal of it.
custodian
A person with responsibility for protecting or taking care of something or keeping something in good condition.
Ezekiel 33:14-16
14. Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
15. [If] the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
16. None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
Leviticus 6:2-5
2. If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;
3. Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:
4. Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,
5. Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, [and] give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.
Proverbs 6:30-31
30. [Men] do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
31. But [if] he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
